Makin’ It Magazine officially released its 10^th installment of its On the Grind Mixtape series Friday October 1, 2010 for the BET Hip Hop Awards weekend in Atlanta, GA. This quarterly project showcases some of the country’s most talented independent artists as selected by a national panel of DJs and Major Label A&Rs.

Each quarter artists from around the globe submit their best songs to be rated and reviewed by a panel of DJs and A&Rs for the opportunity to be featured on the next release. Over 5,000 physical copies each volume are distributed in streets of Atlanta in conjunction with an online promotional campaign including the combined efforts of companies such as MP3waxx.com and Coast2Coast Mixtapes.

This most recent installment of the series was hosted by Atlanta’s own EDUBB, who many may know from their internet sensation “Whooty (White Girl with a Booty)” which has received of 1 Million views on YouTube and mentioned on shows such as TMZ. Back with their new single, “Rain Boots” which has already been receiving widespread mixtape, club and radio rotation, the group gives us a sneak peek of the forthcoming E.P.
