Atlanta hip-hop trio, EDUBB, has been incredibly busy since gracing the cover of Makin’ It Magazine. In between touring, promoting and dropping a barrage of EPs and Singles, the group has also managed to finally complete their long awaited full length project, Legends of the Fall.

Adele: 16.5 Million & Counting!

Born Adele Laurie Blue Adkins in London, England, singer-songwriter Adele is riding a wave of international success. Being offered a record deal fresh out of high school in the fall of 2006 by XL Records, Adele was discovered when a friend posted her demo (made for a class project) to MySpace. Less than two years later Adele released her debut album, 19, at just 19 years old. Critically acclaimed, the album went on to sell 6.5 Million copies.

Chris Brown: The Comeback Kid

Standing in the check out of Publix, I found myself browsing through a magazine with Chris Brown on the cover, while half-listening to the conversation of the girls behind me in line. Having picked up the same magazine, they were all talking about getting tickets to Chris’s upcoming show, when one of them made a statement that caught me off-guard and captured my full attention. Putting the magazine back on the rack, she said to the others, “I don’t know what it is, but [Chris Brown] just seems WAY sexier to me since he got out of jail.” While my initial response was simply a raised eyebrow, the statement got my gears spinning about Chris’ extraordinary comeback after such a huge blow to his career.

Rapper T.I. Launches a Day Care!

Believe me, I was just as surprised as you to find out that Atlanta rap mogul, T.I., was opening his first of a string of daycare facilities. It's been a hell of a year for the rapper who has been an undeniable force on both the charts and in the box office. Grand Hu$tle Child Care promises to stand apart from other child care providers by being a 24 hour program catering to low income families. T.I. has made it very clear that he will not be a passive investor in the facility, but will participate in the day to day care of the children (feeding, changing diapers and all). In fact, the entire Grand Hu$tle roster including Young Dro, Big Kuntry, and Super producer Khao will be on staff teaching and caring for the children. This move by the self proclaimed King of the South has prompted other rappers to follow suit. Young Jeezy has also decided to give back to the community by teaching an after school tutoring program at Martin Luther King Jr. High School…
