Get-Hype Open-Mic returns with poetry, music, storytelling, comedy, and community, hosted by Oakland author and poet J.R. Rice. The evening includes free writer consultations from 6:00–6:45 PM, open-mic signups beginning at 6:00 PM, and performances from 7:00–9:00 PM. Featured poet Alexis Monique will present a full set. Admission is free and the event is all ages.
