This event is the One Year Anniversary Celebration for the Mic Check Thursday Open Mic Showcase that occurs once each month at premier clubs and event facilities in Memphis, Tennessee. Indie artists are given the chance to perform, network, and win prizes, such as magazine and show placements, radio spots and interviews, photo shoots, and a distribution deal, among other opportunities. Artists that have performed at this event have gone on to perform on tours and also catch the attention of record labels. Mic Check offers an inexpensive to assist artists in connecting with fans of new music and music industry connections.
