Saturday, June  24th,  Brooklyn  NY  |  The  Speak Life Tour continues its Youth Empowerment Movement along the East  Coast and is coming to Brooklyn, NY this June  with  the Youth Empowerment Conference &  Day Party at the Sheraton  Hotel  [228  Duffield Street Brooklyn, NY  11201]. The event kicks off at 10 A.M. with workshops for teens and  adults that  will  provide  helpful resources and information on film making and script writing, culturally responsive education and entertainment, financial literacy, and community building. The Day Party  starts  at  12 P.M. and will feature live  entertainment, a photoshoot, and vendor market. The event is meant to  bring  together community activists,  inspire  young  people to  establish/pursue  their goals,  and  to  “Speak  Life”  into  their  missions. The event is co-sponsored   by  three  NY-based  organizations:  Mind Grind Entertainment,  Urban Mosaic and the Black & Latino  Filmmakers Coalition.  Music will be provided by Brooklyn DJ Hassan  Shabazz.
