YouTube Music and Premium pass 150 million subscribers

YouTube Music and Premium now count more than 150 million subscribers worldwide including trials, Sundar Pichai revealed in Alphabet's third-quarter results. That is up from 125 million in March 2025, roughly 1.3 million net adds a month, even after US price hikes in April. Spotify still leads with 306 million Premium subscribers. For artists, YouTube is now a serious paid-streaming outlet, not just a place to post videos.
