YouTube Music and Premium top 150 million subscribers

YouTube Music and Premium passed 150 million subscribers worldwide in the third quarter of 2026, trials included, up 25 million since March 2025, while Google's subscriptions, platforms and devices revenue climbed 11% to $14.3 billion. Spotify still leads with 306 million. For independent artists, a fast-growing second paid platform means YouTube deserves the same release planning and promotion push as Spotify.
