Interscope expands into Brazil, signs rapper BK

Interscope Records announced its push into Brazil on Nov. 6, signing hip-hop star BK and launching a joint venture and distribution deal with urban label Supernova Entertainment that covers its catalog and new signings. BK's first Interscope release will remix his debut album Castelos & Ruinas for its 10th anniversary. With Brazil now the world's eighth-largest music market per IFPI, majors are hunting talent far beyond the U.S., widening the field for global collaborations.
