Eminem's ex-engineer pleads guilty to leaking unreleased music
A former Eminem engineer, Joseph Strange, has pleaded guilty to criminal copyright infringement for copying and selling unreleased Eminem recordings, according to federal prosecutors. Strange worked with the rapper from 2007 to 2021 and faces up to five years in prison, with sentencing set for Jan. 27, 2027. For working artists, it is a reminder to tightly control who can reach your sessions, hard drives and unreleased files.
