Universal Music licenses AI gaming app TYGER, a major-label first
Universal Music Group is the first major company to license TYGER, an AI-powered service that adapts songs to gameplay in real time, putting select UMG recordings and songs on its paid tier and some on its free tier. TYGER already carries more than 400,000 tracks, mostly from independent artists, across 20-plus games. Paired with Spotify's push into music video, the takeaway is clear: new listening surfaces keep opening, and indie catalogs that are cleared and ready get in first.
