Jaye Valentine

Jaye's 20 minute set at the Taste of Soul Music & Food Festival in Atlanta, Georgia was breathtaking! Between the energetic choreography, background dancers, amazing live vocals, and THREE (yes THREE) outfit changes, there was never a dull moment. And some sort of way a sexy, half naked cowboy was also thrown in the mix. You had to be there! Jaye's performance was sponsored by the ever-so-dope MakinItMag team who continue to provide awesome opportunities for the independent artist.

General Update
The Houston Rising Star Awards is a black history initiative honoring African Americans in TV, film and radio. Jaye Valentine opened the show with footage on lynching in America and how "Strange Fruit", originally sang by Billie Holiday, turned the horror into a symbol of hope. Jaye sang the powerful tune, but in true Jaye fashion, ended on a high note with "Best Part" by Daniel Caesar and H.E.R. Award recipients included Rudy Rush (Chapelle Show, Comedy Central) and Amir Diamond (93.7 The Beat Houston).

We have heard Houston's Jaye Valentine belt out that she is every woman with her single, "Alter Ego". We then watched as the songstress empowered women to be initiators with her R&B / Pop hit "This Night Only". Now the singer is revealing a more vulnerable side with the release of her third single and associated visual from her EP SPECTRUM entitled, "Won't Ya Bae". The song is a plea for Jaye's leading man to do more than tell her he loves her, but to prove his commitment through action.
