Ch 4 / 8
The body is a short paragraph, 200 to 512 characters. That's 3 or 4 sentences. Cover these four things:
- What: the song, video, show or news, by name.
- When: the date it came out or happens.
- Where: the city, venue, platform or outlet.
- Why it matters: what makes it worth a stranger's time. Who's on it, what it's about, what's next.
And three rules:
- Third person, same as the headline.
- End with a reason to click your main link: "Hear the single on Spotify through the link below."
- No links, emails, phone numbers or @handles in the body. They don't work there and they take up room. Your contact details belong on your profile, and your link goes in the main link box.

Rivers, the song is about growing up on Atlanta's south side and is already getting played on local radio. The EP arrives in December. Hear the single on Spotify through the link below.
The after version answers what, when, where and why it matters, stays in third person, and ends by sending the reader to the link. 321 characters.
